Understanding The Emergency
Why This Happens — And Why Our Response Works
Under-slab sewer emergencies carry a special dread — the fear that fixing the pipe means destroying the home above it. That fear is outdated. Modern emergency response clears the crisis through existing access points, and trenchless lining creates a new pipe inside the old one — the slab never gets touched.
The emergency clearing is also the diagnostic opportunity. With the line open, our camera traverses the full under-slab run, mapping every defect: cracks, separations, root entries, bellies. This footage is the lining blueprint — it determines candidacy, liner length, and the access plan.
Lining candidacy is high for under-slab lines precisely because the alternative is so disruptive — but we are honest when it does not fit. Severely collapsed sections or extreme bellies may need a different approach. The camera evidence makes the call, not our preference. When lining fits, it is the closest thing to a permanent solution plumbing offers.
